The standard assault carbine will have a single attachment slot like vanilla, and the GRA version will have all 3, is more valuable and higher durability. The assault carbine has also been rechambered to 556 and the appropriate loot list has been edited to match so enemies that die with the assault carbine in their inventory will have 556 ammo instead of 5mm. If you are already using the Ruger 556, then this mod is not a good idea, because all occurrences of it will disappear, this is merely a replacer. The default version is balanced against the Colt M4A1 in Weapons of the New Millenia with the CaliberX patch, (it is meant to be a slight upgrade, b/c I usually run into the Colt at lower levels then the assault carbine) and there is an alternate version with higher damage and lower spread if you don't care about balance.

There is probably other mods that have done something similar, but I made this plugin for my own use and really like the effect it has in game so I thought I would share it. Welcome back to my mod spotlight series for Fallout 4. The goal is to not add new weapons to the game, but make the vanilla weapons not so boring in comparison. I have decided to replace these weapons with models created by other talented authors here on Nexus. Some vanilla weapons are so bad in comparison to the beautiful work of Millenia, Naky, and others that I don't even want to use them, and the assault carbine is on of the top offenders. I play with Weapons of the New Millenia, and find the poor quality of the vanilla weapons to be quite jarring in comparison. First thing first: Naky's Ruger SR-556 is a hard requirement. Install their mod first, then allow mine to replace the plugin.
